"Isprinsen" (Iceprince.)1995
I have a long time facination with
wolf and lynx. This drawning is pretty close to natural size and a
personal favorite of mine. The fur is made in number of layers with a
pencil, tissue and an eraser to give it a feel of softness. |
 |
"På Flykt" (On the Run). 1995
A pair of wolves on the run, away from their huntinggrounds, to meet uncertain future....
This picture combines two pictures, one from Wild Animal association and the background of my own,
taken at 1 900 meters level of the highlands. |
 |
"På Jakt" (Hunting). 1995
A hungry wolf sneaking at his prey.. |
 |
"Morgondis" (Morning Dew) 1995.
I wanted to draw a picture where the fog was the centerpiece.
The mountainrange in the backgriund is the famous "Trollväggen" in
Norway which I placed as sides of a fjord. |
 |
"Look dad, Dolphins!" 1995.
a collage asked if I could draw a dolphin for a tattoo she would like to
have. While I was schetching idea of this picture came out. This is the
third variation. |
 |
"Jotumheim 1" 1994.
I wanted to show the grandiour of the highlands of the Jotumheim. When I
once showed this picture to ladycollegue of mine at my years with the
Silja Line , she actually fainted as she suffered of fear of hights. No
kidding! |

 |
"Jotumheim 2" 1994.
A early picture of mine, actually the
5.th. During working with this picture I accidently found out use of
tissue earlier I used my fingertops to spread layers. to get a similar
effect using washes in painting.
My favorite of my earlier works. This was my main piece at the second
exebition I attended to. |
 |
"Jotumheim 3" 1994.
This location is few kilometers further
towards the summit in Jotumheim. Lookig down to the fjords.
In the back of my mind was that someone earlier said pictures facing
downwards was not so effective, and I wanted to break that rule... |
 |
"Jotumheim 4" 1993.
Well up at the summit, wind and snow have
sculpted th scenery to more round forms. |
 |
"Jotumheim 5." 1993.
This is maybe my best drawing, at least the most complicated. I was driving along a slippery
mountain road hugging huge ravine when I came across this scene. Most of the drawing is
actually done with paper tissue and an eraser. It was complicated to finish this, but the
result is something that I am still very proud of.

"Stockholm 1." 1993.
As a practice for drawing houses, and to get
perspectives right, I made a
serie of drawings based on vintage photographs from Stockholm, dating
from the 19.th century. This the very first, was based on an old brewery
located near downtown of today, rased around the turn of this century. Very little
of the site remains the same today. There are some mistakes, like a sloping street
to the right, but it's sort of OK for the first try... |
|
"Stockholm 2" 1993.
This drawing is based on a location
further up north and was my second attemption Not reconizeble, compared
to what you will see today. To correct the scene I was forced to use some
"artistic freedom" by adding the pale building to the right.
|
 |
"Stockholm 3" 1993.
The third of the Stockholm pictures. Here I finally
got it right, The major inspiration for this picture is the heavily weathered
house to the right. And I could tackle the Röros 1, shown at the
paintings section.

 |
"Forsen. (Rapids)" 1991.
An early picture of mine, forth actually, that I included as to showcase my developement with working with pencil. Not entirely succesful attempt, but shows my interest in mountain views.
But my technics to add depth, details and shades have improved with time and hopefully
appearing on the pictures shown above.

"Lofoten". (Lofoten)" 1990.
Of course, there is allways a first one. This is the first one I drew on a large sheet of
paper. Based on commercial add for a truck manufactor and a bit freelanced. In all I am
pleased the way it turned out, Mountains are OK, the dispostion OK too. But there are a
number of areas that I had to "freelance" and unfortunally I missed on that. I showed this and the second one in a
joined exebition in Orsa, my first. The very small crowd mostly of retired schoolteachers and
such wanna bees there on the opening day liked the pictures. Yet, I felt very proud....
