040625. Clouds in the paradize?...
Summer is here finally after a shaky start, this is OK as I have been busy. First as I mentiond I gotta a new job which is .... a job, the second was that I had a bit of a vacation and went to Norway and took somewhere in the neighbourhood of 700 pics. It was a laugh. Finally I have been working on my recording and the latest one I work on is a unholy mix of Metallica and Iron Maiden. As earlier it is a instrumental and right now a bit long, 5: 30 of it which is quite a bit for a instrumental if you ask me. But compared to earlier atemps back in the days of four track Fostex, it sound a way better. The other song I am currently working on is more melodic though with a metal twist to it all. There are more material than that, but for now they are just a bits in terms of a motebook. Once I get things worked out and getting these two song finished I start work on them as well.But there is a bit of problems aswell, which I try to find a way to work out. On my results after mastering it is that I seem to loos mid range registry of the sound and I get a bit to deep bottom and quite of edge on the highest tones. Which I am thinking of curing by changing of tactics, scrap the idea of using headphones while mastering and perhaps a equalizer connected by a mixer. More on the list is a bass effect rack, a new bass and a new guitar.
