040202. Humble beginning.

I have having the Korg in the house for a week and I have been mostly doing this;
  • Reading the manual all over again. I also photocopied the manual so I have a version that I really don't have care for in the longer run.
  • I also have done a modest "demo" recording based on one of my songs. Nothing much, just some 40-50 secs of basic tracks with a basic drum track and a base and two guitars.

A t first my playing was just sloppy off beat and I guess I was perhaps too kean on laying tracks. It sounded like a misery, though I used a basic drum track. On the second one I got it fare enough so I could use it as a guideline to the very basic bass track, which I plan on doctor up later. On the guitar tracks, I used the signal through the now familiar V-amp, while the bass track is only a plain signal through the special guitar input. I guess the on board sound effects will do the trick to give the bass track much needed smoother sound. I haven't really got further up exploring the sound effects or the more custom taylored drum sounds on the D1600 yet.

I plan to do this within this week as I got a plenty of time of as the hockey is off for the week because of European Hockey tournament.

Stay Tuned! Ollie
